This is where you come in...
Maybe you own a local game shop. Maybe you're doing the research leading up to it. Games and Magic are more than just a hobby for you, they are your passion. You want your business to succeed and be able to support your lifestyle. You want to make money doing what you love. At some point you've have probably thought:
- Will this work? How did the best shops do it?
- How do I find new customers?
- How do I know what products to stock?
- How big a part should the internet play in my business?
- Holy shit! When did the price of that card triple and why didn't I know before someone bought all 12 copies we had!
You may be a shop owner, a back pack trader, a budding entrepreneur, or an online retailer looking to improve your business. But if you've asked yourself any of those questions...
...then you're in the right place.
Here's How Manaverse Saga Can Help You Maximize Your Game Business
The typical store owner is a hobbyist first and business person second. There is a large gap between the people who open the doors to their game business for the first time and the entrepreneurs who have been in the industry for 10+ years.
I want to help you bridge that gap.
You're going to take the skills, systems, and strategies that have helped build the best game stores in North America. Together, we'll reduce the learning curve that crushes so many aspiring shop owners.
I believe Magic: the Gathering to be one of the best games in existence and the community around it to be a great market to build a business around. But in order for a business catering to Magic players and table top gamers to work, that business needs the proper tools and resources to succeed.
We do that by using the strategies that have built the best game stores in the industry combined with solid business fundamentals.
So instead of just owning another underground dungeon style game store, you're going to build the best god damned game store in town.
What You'll Find Here
1 - The Blog
This is where you can find strategies for improving various aspects of your shop. I'll be honest... my posts have gotten better over time. I don't have a perfect schedule but do aim to release something new every
Wednesday whenever I have time lol. The blog also occasionally features the thoughts of game store owners I have interviewed for the Manaverse Podcast.
2 - The Manaverse Podcast
In addition to the blog I also produce the Manaverse Podcast. The podcast is my platform for exploring many of the issues facing the industry today as well as pulling apart the strategies of the best game store owners in the business.
By delving into each interviewees experiences, besides being a fascinating look into their life, we can learn more about this fantastic game we all love. The Manaverse Podcast is a resource for entrepreneurs in the game business who want to build their business and forge a stronger community.
There is a new episode of the Manaverse Podcast released every Friday morning and I welcome you to share the journey with me and join in the conversation. The one thing all Magic players like to do next to playing Magic, is talk about Magic. Come join the discussion and we can improve together.
With my experience as a business owner in the Magic community, I have a unique perspective to bring to the conversation. I am also a husband, father, Magic player, business strategist, operations supervisor, professional podcast producer, Dragonball Z fan, and philosopher. Not necessarily in that order.
There isn't a lot of information out there with regards to the business side of Magic and I believe everyone who plays this excellent game can benefit from knowing more about each other. Entrepreneurs in this industry are a vital component of the Magic ecosystem and they know plenty about their player base but not so much the other way around.
The Magic community will be far stronger if we share our knowledge and work together.
I also want to encourage more people to become entrepreneurs and enhance the community as a whole.
